Gantter is a project planning and management application running from a web-browser. With Gantter you can do similar things you do in Microsoft Project in a similar way: plan your project, review your plan using Gantt chart, manage project resources and calendars, review critical tasks, estimate project cost, control your project progress. Gantter supports different task dependencies (including lags between depending tasks), task constraints and task types. Gantter performs all the scheduling and other calculations to make planning easy. You can mark a task as a milestone or set task deadlines. Gantter uses Gantt charts to illustrate your project plan which is the most convenient and recognized way of project plan illustration.
Many new applications claim that they can replace MS Project, but cannot even schedule a project like MS Project does. Unlike them, Gantter contains all the core features and many advanced features of MS Project. Users familiar with MS Project can get started with Gantter easily. Gantter supports import/export from and to MS Project. For many users Gantter could be the missing piece of Google's Web Office (Gantter has a similar look and feel, though 100% similarity isn't Gantter's goal). Gantter is free of charge, doesn't require registration and all it needs to run is a modern web browser (no additional browser components or plugins required).
